More ways to create, play, and support the games you love.

Dear Directors and Players,

First of all, thank you for making MakePlay.AI part of your creative journey. To everyone who has been here from the early days: you've helped shape this platform with your games, your ideas, and your honest feedback. We don't take that trust for granted.

We know it can be frustrating to have an idea ready, only to get stuck in a queue or have generation stall before you can try it out. Many of you have put real time and care into your projects. We want to give you a smoother, more dependable experience as you continue building here.

With this update, we're introducing subscription plans and revising how Credits are calculated and displayed. These changes are part of our work toward a service we can keep improving and supporting over the long term, while keeping a free way to create and play.

From an idea to a game people can play

MakePlay.AI brings the tools for game creation together in one place: an AI Agent to help build and refine your game, image and audio generation, 3D assets, text-to-speech, and publishing so others can play what you've made.

You've already used these tools to create so many wonderful games—from imaginative adventures to games that help people learn. Seeing what you make, and how you keep improving it, gives us plenty of reasons to keep improving MakePlay.AI too.

We're continuing to support talented Directors and original ideas, including educational projects. Quality and creativity matter more to us than quantity.

Supporting our Directors

Alongside these updates, we're working on the Director Monetization Program, because we believe creativity and hard work deserve to be rewarded.

Game Jam cash prizes — upcoming opportunities to earn rewards for your creations.
Coin Toss and in-game Coin Shops — existing ways for players to support you and your games.
In-game ad revenue sharing — in development, including optional rewarded ads such as watching an ad for another chance after failing a level.
Creator cash-out — in development. Eligible Coin earnings will be converted into Gems, the Director currency eligible for cash-out once the feature launches.

Game export is also being tested and refined. We know many of you have been waiting for it, and we'll share more as development progresses.

Monetization details, including cash-out requirements, are still being finalized and may change before launch.

Keep creating with us

We're also working on more creator benefits, tools, and opportunities to help your games reach more players. We'll share the details as they're ready.

We know changes to a familiar service take some getting used to. Thank you for telling us what works, what gets in your way, and what you'd like to build next. That feedback helps us understand where we need to do better.

Whether you've been here from the beginning or are making your first game today, we're glad you're creating with us. We want great games to be rewarded, and great Directors to keep creating.

Feel free to share your feedback in the in-app Community section.
