MakePlay has launched Game Slots
As MakePlay grows, we want to put more resources behind games that creators truly care about—and help great games get the attention they deserve.
Starting September 5, 2026, every new creator will begin with 1 free Game Slot.
A Game Slot lets you create a new game. Once it’s created, you can keep building, updating, and improving that game—there’s no limit to how many versions you can make.

Already creating on MakePlay?
Nothing you’ve already made is going away.
All your existing projects will remain yours, and we’re giving every existing creator 1 additional Game Slot to start something new.
We’ll also award bonus Game Slots based on the past performance of your games. Creators who have received bonus slots will be notified via an in-app message—congratulations!
Free isn’t going away. It’s becoming earnable.
MakePlay will always offer a free way to create. What’s changing is unlimited free creation.
We built MakePlay so anyone can turn an idea into a game. That isn’t changing. Now, we want to reward the creators who keep building, bring new people in, and make games people genuinely want to play.
